Southcliffe B&B

I loved the room, very comfortable bed and plenty of tea and biscuits. Breakfast doesn't disappoint. My favourite was poached egg, avocado and chorizo on sourdough toast, delicious! The hosts Stuart and James are friendly and helpful with lots of local knowledge. The location is wonderful, especially Valley of the Rocks if you enjoy a ramble with fantastic views. Some lovely restaurants particularly Number 10 for pasta and pizza and The Oak Room, serving great tapas. And of course, you gotta take the Cliff Railway down to Lynmouth.

What's not to like! The only very slight niggle is no sandy beach but Lynmouth is still lovely and if you really crave sand, you can head out for an afternoon to Minehead. I took the bus with fantastic views along the way.

Stayed for two nights and everything was great. Very welcoming. Great location for walking the valley of the rocks. The breakfast was super, a great selection to choose from. Check out the little cinema and the Old Bank restaurant, all less than 5 minutes walk away.

Nothing. Some people might find the small steep parking space hard to navigate. There is street parking.

A very clean, comfy and tastefully decorated B&B, conveniently located for walking into Lynton and reaching Lynmouth.

Breakfast was great, although it's pre-order and tweaking the options is not allowed.

We loved the property, it was extremely well designed with beautiful views over the hills. The balcony was a real plus and added to the room.

The shower and bathroom was just a little small, but still very well designed and very clean and well presented. Whilst the bathroom was a little small, the shower was fantastic!

Excellent choice of breakfast options. Centrally located, excellent hosts.

Access to mini fridge. Everything else was perfect
