Just the location to the old town

So tiny that we couldn’t use the portable bed & we are not a couple. No windows so no air. Many kitchen utensils were filthy with fungus all around sandwich maker & something growing in a cup. Dirty tissues in 1 kitchen drawer. Kitchen drawer handles missing & hanging off. Sockets hanging out of walls. No bathroom door so no privacy just shower curtain & only able to hold shower head as there was attachment. Booked & paid for 4 nights - only managed 1 night as couldn’t stand to stay longer. Apartment wasn’t ready until 5.30 due to ‘cleaner’ being there (not leak being fixed as we were told for delay).

AVOID: Deceptive Listing, Unhygienic Conditions, Unresponsive & Accusatory Host My experience at this property was abysmal and I strongly advise prospective guests to look elsewhere. The reality of the accommodation bore little resemblance to the listing, the hygiene standards were unacceptable, and the host's handling of the situation was unprofessional. Misleading Description & Layout: The photographs are highly deceptive. This is not a standard apartment; the entrance opens directly from the street into the main room, similar to a small shopfront, lacking a proper entryway. Crucially, there are no actual windows. The objects depicted as windows in the photos are mirrors fitted with window frames – a deliberate misrepresentation. Furthermore, the bathroom is extremely small (comparable to a basic hostel bathroom) and inconveniently located half a floor below the main living space. The property does not feel designed for residential stays. Severe Hygiene & Condition Issues: The cleanliness was unacceptable upon arrival. The carpets and bedding appeared dirty [or state visibly soiled if accurate]. Utensils and the provided table were coated in limescale and yellow residue (photographic evidence attached). Mold was prevalent, especially in the bathroom. As someone with asthma, the air quality in the bathroom was so poor due to mold that I experienced breathing difficulties. Adding to the discomfort, there was virtually no hot water. It ran cold after approximately two minutes, making showering impossible. Unresponsive Host & Unresolved Issues: I identified these significant issues within minutes of check-in. After contacting Booking.com, I attempted to reach the host as advised, but they were initially unresponsive. When they finally replied (following another call to Booking.com), they dismissed my concerns, stating nothing could be done about the property's condition.

Location: Perfect. It's placed in the pedestrian zone, yet quiet street. Under 5 minutes walk to most important points in old town. Apartment: Cute and stylish, most appropriate for couples during short visits to Maribor. Equipment: Everything you need even a small, but fully functional kitchen. Hostess: Diligent and friendly. I would recommend it!
