The Historic Blue Bird Cottage

The homeowners was prompt, kind and attentive and the home is well maintained. Cute sitting area in the backyard. It felt like home, even if was only for two nights.

Cleaning fees should be adjusted based on the length of stay and not require tenants to start washing the towels, bedding and dishes to assist the cleaning services expedite their prep. Other than that, we loved this home and we'd stay here again.

I loved the house and it was so quite and peaceful and it was had everything that we needed I will be back again I came to do a surprise visit to my Daughter and Grandchildren who lives in Canon City ❤️ and I wanted to thank the owners for their great service and their beautiful home Until next time. ❤️

The house has, a very good location, close to everywhere, close to attractions, close to restaurants, close to hwy. Staff are very helpful and communicative. Highly recommend 👌

Booking a place to stay can feel like a leap of faith, especially after hours of searching—hoping you’ve made the right choice. If you’re considering this beautiful home, let me reassure you: you absolutely have. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just a house—it was a labour of love. Ken and Rita have poured their heart and soul into creating a truly special space, and it shines through in every corner. The home is full of character and charm, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. Every comfort has been considered, and then some. The bed was incredibly comfortable—we slept so well—and the whole atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. Though we only stayed for two nights, we truly wish we’d found this gem sooner. We’ll be sad to close the front door tomorrow, but we leave with full hearts and wonderful memories. Thank you, Ken and Rita, for sharing your stunning home. Loved everything

This adorable 3 bedroom home was clean, well-decorated, spacious, and had a huge backyard. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The coffee bar was such a nice touch.The neighborhood felt very safe, and some restaurants were even within walking distance.We were so excited to find such a nice home that allowed well- behaved dogs. Rita was very quick to respond to questions and so nice! Loved our stay.

Leaving

Charming historic property in excellent location. Well appointed, clean and comfortable. Fees made it expensive for a one night day, but it was able to accommodate our dogs, who loved the yard! A wish list request would be a TV in the very large eat in kitchen! This area accommodates a desk for on line or office work. This the room we spent all our time in with its' access to the backyard (think farmhouse kitchen)!

My only negative was the fabric detergent smell on the sheets and bedding. It was quite strong. Recommend going to a fragrance free brand.
