Moon Deck Villa

In Sri Lanka, you learn to grade your accommodations on a curve - everything is generally affordable and the people are so nice, so it is hard to be too judgmental at some of the places you will stay. HOWEVER, Moon Deck Villa is one place where you don't have to make any sacrifices. The home is beautiful and the interior is classy. The rooms are clean. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom and air conditioning are of extremely high quality. Did I mention the breakfast? It was absolutely smashing. Location wise, it is even close to a large supermarket and several restaurants are within a walkable distance. Lastly, the host can help you secure a ride to the airport if needed, just a short drive away. Outstanding. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone who wants a quality, comfortable stay close to Colombo airport.

Clean room, excellent breakfast and super friendly host family with a lot of good advice. It's a good choice if you come from or go to the airport.

On booking.com the description of Moon Deck Villa says the transfer from the airport is free (one-way is included), which is why we booked it. However, we had to pay 2000 lkr for the transfer. That was a bit of an uncomfortable surprise. The overall experience was good though thanks to the friendly and helpful host family.

Jude had great communication skills and great cooking skills. We were supposed to arrive early in the morning but a long delayed layover meant a very late check in Jude was there to welcome us and set us up in our room. Breakfast was yummy and plenty for 2 people - pancakes were delish! Room was clean, comfortable, spacious and the birdsong in the morning was lovely too. Nice and close to the airport and highway to go south the next day.

It really was amazing value for money. The facilities, the staff, really everything was such a high and comfortable standard. The breakfast was lovely with a great selection of freshly cooked locally sourced food. The staff asked me what I wanted and prepared it. I would highly recommend this hotel .

This was our second time staying at Moon Deck Villa. The rooms are nice and spacious, clean and are equipped with everything you need. The breakfast was so delicious and the family makes sure you are well looked after!

10 Minutes from the airport. Jude met us with his car and then drove us to meet our family at the airport the next day. Fair price, cool room and comfy bed. Easy to contact on WhatsApp.
