"Good I wouldn’t stay for more than 2 night max but a good price"

9.0

It’s a little property there’s about 5 or 6 rooms not a hotel kinda thing but pleasant for a night stay

Ensure you put the postcode in as there are 2 places near each other with the same name and we went to the wrong one, not the hotels fault but something to look out for

"Good value for money, but basic."

6.0

Value for money and location for where I needed to be.

Lack of desk. Found myself sitting on the bed and using the bedside table as a makeshift desk.

"Unpleasant and disappointing. Will not stay here again."

2.0

No staff or anyone on site. Key left in door. No phone number or contact details. No WiFi (even though it was supposedly included in the price). The bed was uncomfortable so we were unable to sleep. The TV didn't work properly. The sash window cords were broken so you couldn't leave the window propped open.

"One of my more memorable stays…for the wrong reasons!"

4.0

The room smelt nice!

Upon arriving in Beckermet after a very long day on my motorbike, I rode round & round trying to find the accommodation. There are no signs anywhere to let you know where the Coach House is in the village, I had to ask several local people, none of whom had heard of the place! I called into the White Mare pub for some directions, the lady behind the bar was very helpful and came outside to point to the actual building. The building is next to the Royal Oak pub, which has long since closed. There was no-one around to help me check in, I opened a door thick with cobwebs and wandered inside the building, guessing it was where I could be staying! There were keys in several doors, but on opening them the rooms were full of dirty linen etc. I did find one room on the upper level after climbing a long-neglected iron staircase, opening another outside door thick with cobwebs, which looked ready for occupation, so I decided to take residency! Shortly afterwards, whilst having a much-needed beer in the White Mare, I received an email with some information about my room, too little too late! 😡 The room was clean, there were tea & coffee facilities, a TV and Sky box. The bed felt like it was 30 years old, protruding springs making it very uncomfortable and noisy when turning over (which I had to do frequently!). The shower barely delivered enough water, but at least there was a small bottle of shower gel and a decent size towel. One of my more memorable stays for the wrong reasons, I’m so pleased I didn’t take my wife! 😂
