Mel Haven Motel

Easy parking good location. Clean. Cold AV

Would like to have had a larger TV. Hard to hear without turning up loud because the AC was loud.

The space was old-school but spacious and clean. Ted, the proprietor, was very kind and helpful. The location is good, sitting just off Hwy 24, between Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs. No pool or restaurant, but wifi worked great for the 3 of us using it, and the water heat and pressure was just fine. If you're not fussy about updated styles, this is a great place to stay.

My main focus was a clean room in a safe area. Mel Haven Motel exceeded my expectations on all accounts. The rooms were impeccably clean, very quiet and in a safe area. The bathroom was updated, the larger size dorm fridge was a huge plus and the fact that we had two rooms was amazing (one bedroom with queen bed and the main area with queen bed, small table with chairs, fridge and microwave). There were also bbq grills outside to use if we wanted. The closeness to all my planned activities in Manitou Springs were a bonus. The owner was very attentive and often asked if there was anything we needed done.

Very clean, comfortable, no frills facility. Would recommend, especially for those traveling with kids!

The areas behind the units were used for storage. Kids wanted to go out and play frisbee, but there are no nice grassy areas. However, this is the only small reason why this place isn't perfect for a family!

Love the location and simplicity of the rooms, great spaces with modern amenities (fridge/microwave). Staff is friendly and welcoming great place to stay!

They went over the top with the amenities! They had--- toaster, microwave, coffee pot, silverware, real plates, cups, saucers! Stove top! Sink with running water in kitchen! Large bathroom with tub and shower included makeup remover pads, shampoo, soaps, blowdryer, plenty of towels, washcloths, etc.
