The Coach House

Located about 5min from the Cathedral. The staff is lovely and very helpful, I was able to leave my luggage before check in and after check out. The room was very spacious and there were chairs and a comfy sofa. There was a selection of tea/coffee along with the pot too. It's close to a small park, which is a nice and quiet place. Wifi was free and fast.

Drainage in the shower wasn't the best. The small about of sockets was a problem at times. The windows face the street and I was woken up by some drunks screaming at 2am.

Location,efficiency and convenience

Room was a little noisy but it was centrally located and I stayed there in the evenng of a Bank Holiday...so understandable for a busy vity like Canterbury

Clean room, kettle + plenty of teabags and instant coffee provided. Very good location, just a short walk away from the Cathedral. It does not serve breakfast, but plenty of cafes nearby.

Old deco-ish. The layout of my room and bathroom is rather funny. I guess this used to be a living room with a separate bathroom. Room can be warm on hot summer days.

Fantastic location, within walking distance to everything. Friendly staff on arrival. The bed was so comfortable. Easy to find and parking available. Separate private bathroom which was clean and spacious. Use of towels and toiletries available is a nice touch.

I would say not suitable for guests with mobility problems as the stairs are slightly precarious. We stayed on a very hot day and only noticed a fan in the room the next morning as it was down the back of a chair, perhaps something to mention to guests in the summer.

Very easy to find; excellent communication from the hosts; very central for Canterbury city centre.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and it was in a good location to be able to get in and out of town, get to the train or get a taxi elsewhere within the city. The room itself is really nice visually, and a fine place to stop and work or to stay for an evening.

The interior of the building and it's walls are very thin. You could hear anyone walking around inside the building, and due to the vicinity and proximity of being near the high street, you could also hear people performing Karaoke half a block away, which makes it less easy to sleep. Would recommend taking earplugs. Also not the most accessible building if you have any struggles as you need to navigate quite tight and steep staircases to maneouver within the building. I also didn't see a member of staff the entire duration of my stay, nor did they have breakfast facilities.

Das Coach House liegt sehr zentral in der Innenstadt von Canterbury. Zur Kathedrale sind es nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Wir wurden vom Personal sehr freundliche begrüßt und Ben war hilfsbereit bei allen Fragen und besonderen Wünschen. Da es sich um ein sehr altes Gebäude handelt, ist die Schallisolierung und Verdunkelung natürlich nicht so gut. Aber selbst dafür war vorgesorgt, denn jeder Gast bekam ein Set mit Ohrstöpseln und Schlafmaske zur Verfügung gestellt.
