Hemingway's Luxury Tented Camp

Can’t beat the location. Isolated, tranquil and absolutely knowledgeable staff, particularly Milton. The food was fantastic as was the attention to detail from all staff. Had an amazing game drive experience that would probably rival some of the more well known national parks in East Africa. A bird watchers’ paradise - if that’s your thing. That said, you MUST do the hike to the waterfall (Uhuru falls on Murchison). The view you will get will be postcard-worthy and one you’ll remember for a lifetime. Pack insect repellent.

In one of the tents, the shower water smelt really bad so my kids couldn’t shower in their tent. Other than that, all else was great.

Formidable endroit, accessible en bateau (1h environ) isoléet calme. Chambres simples mais très confortable et propore. Douches avec eau chaude et toilettes individuelles. Super e spot avec vue sur la rivière et sunsets inoubliable. Très bonne cuisine et personnel adorable. A 30 min de marches des chutes. Endroit exceptionnel.

Es beginnt mit einer super schönen Bootstour mit Tiersichtungen. Die Lodge hat eine wunderschöne Lage mitten im Nationalpark, mit grandioser Aussicht auf den Nil. Murchison Falls sind fussläufig entfernt (und man hat die Wasserfälle exklusiv, da die Ausflugsboote alle am anderen Ufer anlegen). Alex ist ein grandioser Guide und wunderbarer, anregender Gesprächspartner. Chef Assad hat die Menüs täglich auf unsere Bedürfnisse zugeschnitten und uns kulinarisch verwöhnt. Rogers sorgte für ein perfektes Service und servierte uns das Dinner täglich mit perfekter Aussicht auf den Nil und unter tausenden Sternen. Die gesamte Crew machte unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas besonderem.

Für die Dusche wird das Wasser des Nils verwendet, das eine sehr unangenehmen Geruch hat. Man muss für jeden Tag an dem man dort ist Eintritt im Nationalpark bezahlen.

Hele mooie ligging, met een prachtig uitzicht. Alleen te bereiken met boot wat het erg leuk maakt.

Prijs kwaliteit was uit verhouding. 3 dollar voor een biertje is erg veel vergeleken andere accomodaties. De prijs zou inclusief ontbijt, lunch en diner zijn maar als je 1 nacht verblijft krijg je geen lunch. Tevens kun je ontbijten bij de waterval maar dan zou je 30 euro pp moeten betalen om naar de waterval te mogen en nog eens 15 euro pp om daar te ontbijten terwijl ontbijt inbegrepen zit bij de prijs.

The location of this camp is brilliant, close to the Murchison Falls and far from any other tourist lodges. Only accessible by boat (with great game and bird viewing on the one hour journey) makes it even more special. The walk to the top of the Falls ends in a view that cannot be bettered. The staff are fantastic, food is excellent, luxury tents are well appointed and the overall experience really makes this place a gem.

Any minor faults are more than compensated for by the experience. As everything has to be brought in by boat, it is a credit to the team what they deliver.

The location was absolutly amazing. Right on top of the waterfalls. It took 1h on a beautiful boat ride to arrive. That was part of the magical. We saw Elephants, Hippos, Crocodiles, Birds and an unforgettable sunset. I belive that no other camps or resorts are located inside the park. The team was excellent and the food was very, very good. We had dinner right bellow a sky full of stars. The next day we went with the team to visit the falls (on the opposite side where the tourists usually see them).

We had some problems on the shower to regulate the temperature.
