ACAR SMART OTEL

The room was really big and there were two large beds so it was perfect with small kids. But this was actually the only good thing about this hotel.. and it was cheap 😁

The hotel on the whole looked like they wanted it to look fancy, but failed in very many details and also just left some stuff unfinished and looking off. There were blackout curtains in one room, but only sheer curtains in another. There were problems with the shower. Breakfast was terrible and the staff basically lied to us about the transfer to the airport. They offered us the transfer for 30 euros, but the driver took us (and many other people from different hotels) to another hotel and then told us to get out and take an “airport shuttle” because he doesn’t drive to the airport. The “airport shuttle” became immediately full of other people who had been waiting there plus some other confused people like us and we had to take a taxi in order to actually get to the airport on time. It looked like a fraud scheme. When we addressed the whole situation later the hotel told us we had taken “a wrong transfer” and left earlier although this was the only transfer minivan that stopped in front of our hotel exactly at the time we were supposed to leave in the first place. And why would anyone want to take people on board for free?

Location is great, very close to underground entrance. Spacious room.

The hotel tried to make us pay twice for the room, making firm suggestions to pay again upon check in, despite we originally booked and paid for a non-refundable option. No bedding in the room, had to ask staff twice as they seemed to have little idea of what bedding was, although they were very keen to provide us with airport shuttle service. Shower cubicle broken, missing a side panel. Room in general did not feel clean. The room faced a 24/7 busy road not park, very loud even at night. No balcony.

Excellent location - metro and bus to the airport 100 m away. Traditionally huge room, shower and bath, tea, coffee, water. Excellent hotel for connecting flights.

The hotel is a bit old - the halls and the lobby are shabby.

Not very much. It is just a transit hotel

First, they gave me a different room that the one I booked. I booked with balcony and bath tube but they gave me one without all this. Than they didn’t have to give me the change so they proposed to bring me dinner (a kebab and a coke for 35 euros) The transfer in the morning was more than 15 minutes late!

The double room was HUGE. I mean... Ridiculously huge! It could easily be converted into 2 normal-sized double rooms. The location is very near the Metro station, from where you can easily take the metro tram to the Istanbul HavalimanI. Normally the tram is around every 30 minutes, so no need to take shuttles, taxis, etc. If you are prone to adventures, you can even drive and park behind the hotel, if you are pushy you will find a place. The whole area is still undeveloped but you can find enough around the hotel - the local hospital is next to it, there are some small pilaf duner shops, tabacs, but don't expect to be like downtown Istanbul.

Just be extra careful when you cross the streets, traffic rules don't apply, save your lives!

Breakfast was good and served by a friendly old lady. Location is near metro. Room size is huge.

First they gave not the room I booked and refused to change it. The room 102 that I was given was the worst room I experienced in my life. It wasn't properly cleaned after previous guest - bedding on one of two beds and towel wasn't replaced. It was a used towel. Trash bin in the toilet wasn't emptied. But the worst thing was that my room was heavily infested with bedbugs. I wanted to leave the hotel, but it was too late, the area around the hotel is not friendly, so I just played with my phone until the morning while killing the bedbugs.

Considering the price, the accommodation was better than basic. Good location, close to the metro for the airport and close to shops, restaurants etc.

Location sent in the confirmation email was not the actual address, we were lost for 1 hr the taxi charged us extra, when we finally asked a local and they directed us the right way advised the hotel rep we got lost he advised there are many Acar hotels...No apology ... And in the morning the breakfest was suppose to start at 7am, it was 8am and it wasnt ready.
