Forks Fir House

The owner/host had excellent communication to prepare us for our arrival and stay. The property was clean and quiet. If you don't have an issue driving, we thought the location was great to visit the national park (centrally located). They really thought through the comfort by providing coffee, laundry detergent, shower supplies and towels specific for the hot tub. If I was traveling with young children, the bunk beds and highchair is a bonus. Also was fun to see a dog bed (we didn't bring a pet). It was in a quiet neighborhood. I appreciated the TV with auto log out of our streaming apps. The town had what you needed to grocery shop. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Window covering of some type on the front door would have been nice. The full glass door in a neighborhood was new to us.

We loved everything about this place! Clean, cozy, peaceful and the walk in shower was perfect for elders. Short drive to La Push for dinner. This place actually felt like staying at a family home. I will be bookmarking this place for the future.

There were a lot of positives with this place! It is obvious that the owner cares a great deal. Just about anything you could think of that you would need was in the house. The location was great. The entertainment spaces outside were a delight. There was firewood supplied. We did not hear a loud dog like other reviewers, which is great because we slept with the windows open every night. The washer and dryer was a life saver. Seriously great place especially for a group.

These are less "negatives" and more just helpful information to those who may have questions/want more info! There is one TV in living room, all rooms are without. There is no clear master bedroom. None of the rooms have a private bathroom which was difficult to tell from the photos. There is no AC. If you're a warm sleeper, plan accordingly! Even with open windows there were nights we were sweating. The house gets a lot of shade so surprisingly even on an 80 degree day the house was pretty cool. The home has a pretty musty/heavy smell. Its not overbearing, and likely has to do with the humidity, but if you are sensitive to that kind of stuff, I would keep that in mind. Opening the windows helped tremendously, but on a rainy day or when you leave it's not practical to leave them open. The beds are SUPER firm and pillow options are overstuffed or slightly overstuffed. If you like a flat pillow, plan to find one/bring one with you. 6 out of 8 of us needed to find pillow alternatives. Overall this place is great and we would likely rent again. These are just things we wish we would have realized or known prior. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Love the house and property!

Everything. Great location. Really clean :)). Once heaters kicked in it was nice and warm.

The property and the neighborhood were both very nice.

My only complaint was the glass doors on front and back with no blinds. Anyone and everyone can see you at night it felt a little creepy but I see how it looks pretty in the day. I’d still prefer the option of blinds or curtain for it lol. Literally everything else was perfect.

Extra stoked for the hot tub. The house is well appointed and everything worked. Towels are nice washer dryer are nice. The beds are super comfy and lots of pillows.
