The Beach Hotel

the room had a spectacular view across the beach to the sea front. The steam railway was adjacent, but not intrusive. The breakfasts were very good quality. The staff were always helpful and friendly. This was what made it so good - this hotel trains a lot of apprentices in the hospitality industry. If they all continue to use the lessons learned at the Beach Hotel, they will succeed in their chosen careers. Without exception, they were friendly courteous and helpful.

Car parking was extremely limited. No lift (we are elderly)

Hotel is in a great location next to the Steam Railway and we had a sea view. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and well equipped and comfortable. Good selection available for breakfast and cooked to order to a very high standard. Will definitely stay again.

The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and efficient. Breakfast (The Garden Breakfast option) was amazing !! I really like the ethos of the hotel - the UK needs more establishments like this one.

The location is excellent especially if you are using the West Somerset Railway as I was, the station is across the road. The cooked breakfast was very nice freshly cooked in an open kitchen. The room had plenty of space. The staff were very engaging and easy to talk with.

It was a pity that there was not any fruit available at breakfast to go with the cereal and yogurts.

Friendly. Extra touches - milk! Very comfortable bed - best night’s sleep for months. Quiet. Incredible view from room of sea and station. Very local to all of Minehead. Fantastic breakfast in lovely modern dining room.

Rooms need updating and limited storage in bathroom for toiletries but great value for money.

The staff are really nice and very helpful and the location is very good.

The breakfast was disappointing this time. They had run out of Croissants by 9 am plus we had to ask for fresh coffee. One of the girls cooking the food had long blonde hair that wasn't tied up. Also not much variety on the continental side just cereal and croissants sometimes. No fresh fruit even a banana would have been nice. Also our room was not very clean. There was a huge bird mess on the main window which was not cleaned the whole time we were there which was 3 nights. We asked for the room to be cleaned the 2nd day and the bed wasn't even made properly. I feel that for the cost it was very disappointing. We have stayed here on numerous occasions.
