South Down Barn

It has some kitchen facilities .

Terrible sloping drive which span my car wheels getting in and out. Not signposted quite a way down a gravel unlit road. Couldn’t lock the door when I went out possibly because rain had swelled the wood so had to hope no one walked in when I went out. Host was able to lock the door the next day when it was dry. Booked two nights .. left after one.. I bought a 3 day festival ticket but could only use it for one day because I didn’t feel safe in accommodation. Barn was very cold in the morning despite it being warm outside? Felt creepy.

Good location, quiet, peaceful. Nice amount of space, with good facilities and a decking space.

Could have done with some finishing touches to make the south Barn a better stay. The shower was very small, the main room could do with a TV, and it could do with a clean to remove all of the cobwebs from the ceilings in each room.

Lovely location, felt really tucked away and peaceful, but easy to access. The barn is quaint and calm, and has everything you need for a nice night away. We enjoyed sitting on the verandah in the evening before going into wickham for dinner - very near by. The host (Emma) was super, she greeted us on arrival and showed us into the barn, told us where things were and ensured we felt at home. We took a puppy with us for his first night away and he enjoyed playing with her dog, and Emma ensured we were comfortable with this. Emma’s home is on the same property meaning was on hand if we needed her. She was really thoughtful and helpful throughout our stay. We didn’t use the pool but it looked lovely and clear as we walked past it with the pup. I didn’t get a photo of the bedroom so have uploaded the lounge & kitchen instead, however all was as shown / listed on the advert.
