After confirming my reservation the host canceled it less than 24 hours before my departure for Merida. I would not recommend reserving this hotel via Booking.

La cour intérieure pour prendre le petit déjeuner est agréable.

Notre chambre située dans l'entrée n'avait pas de fenêtres et était bruyante car il y a du passage. Le petit déjeuner est léger.

Nice little hotel with kind and helpful staff, well equipped rooms, tasty breakfast, small pool and beautiful interier design. Parking on the street in front of the hotel is reserved for hotel guests and completely safe. Communication with the owner via WhatsApp was smooth and effective. Very good base to explore Merida and surrounding if you have a car.

Pool is small, with steep stairs and it was not well cleaned. The digital lock with PIN code for our room wasn’t working, so we get the key to manually unlock the door and it didn’t work smoothly - sometimes it needed few tries to get in and there is a constant fear that you will lock yourself out of the room with the key left inside. First day we get the orange juice or the Jamaican juice at the breakfast (tasty!), next days there was only coffee. There is a 25 min walk to the city center.

Beautiful property and rooms with a comfortable bed. Owner was super friendly and helpful and very easy to contact.

The staff on site were pretty surly and didn't really try to make themselves understood, even with my basic Spanish and Google translate, which honestly made interactions uncomfortable. Whilst the self check in is smooth, it would be good to have someone there for when guests first check in - as there are only a few rooms, it feels like this should have been easy to organise.
