Wow Beach House

What can I say, breakfast was extraordinary, plentiful, varied - you don't realise how fresh fruit really tastes until you've tried it here. The host, Haji, is very caring, helpful and dedicated to providing you with the best possible stay. If you want to go kite surfing, he's a professional instructor, if you want to go sailing on a local dhow, he can set you up with that too. It's Africa, the power will cut out from time to time, there's no generator on site, but go sit in one of larger beach cafés, they'll sometime have a generator, if you absolutely needs to have wi-fi or charge your devices at that very moment. Wow beach house perfectly situated between the beach and the local village. It is one house down from the beach and one house up from the village, so you get the best of both. The village has local restaurants and small shops where you can buy soda, snacks, fresh fruit etc., all very friendly. The beach front has lots of beach bars where you can sit, enjoy the ocean breeze, a cool drink or a meal.

The breakfast was amazing, it was home-made by our host family. Really delicious organic food, big portions. Our hosts were very kind and supportive. The location is perfect, the ocean is literally 1 minute walk from the accomodation.

I love Wow Beach House and I love this Family. It is my second time to stay there. Amazing breakfast with Omelette, fresh fruit, smoothies and homemade bread. Haji, the owner is the best kite instructor. I’ll come back again!♥️♥️

great breakfast, but be cautious about the papaya, it might cause you diarrhoe very friendly family very convincing offer to get to know kite-surfing, I regret not to take more of them the great beach is near, also many restaurants. Location is quiet however

WiFi is a bit slow payment was only by cash, so you need to go to an ATM and pay fees for that. And in addition for that you need a transportation, because there are no ATM in the near. So you lose time + money There are some problem with insects from time to time

Very very good place to stay, the staff helpful and great, is very quiet, the host is really good and lovely, is close to the beach, nice crepes, good spiced coffee for breakfast enjoying under the room

We had a wonderful 3 days stay in Wow Beach House in January. This small guesthouse is run by a local family, and the host is super friendly and helpful. The location in Jambiani is very nice, and it's just a few steps away (2nd row) from a gorgeous beach with amazing sunrises. The breakfast was perfect, and the room was spacious. There is a great restaurant (Jiwe's Swahili Kitchen) just around the corner, and small shops very close by too.

There is nothing to dislike really, unless you are expecting a luxury hotel instead of a simple guesthouse. During our stay there was some issues with electricity in the whole area, and thus during the day time the AC and fridge didn't work too well, but that didn't matter, since we only used the AC during the night.
