The bed was comfortable and had a nice view out the window. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful

Room was fairly small and the bath tub was tiny and we had to ask for towels since housecleaning forgot to leave some in the room

Useful location, good breakfast, polite staff, clean rooms.

You (definitely) needed "survival level" Mandarin Chinese, preferably the Taiwan Mandarin version. This ideally should have been made clear on the hotel's website. Reception Staff I spoke to, hardly spoke any English (I had to speak into their own mobile phones, for their phones to translate my speech into Chinese for them). So it was not ideal. Also my partner had travelled quite a distance, from the North of the country, and arrived in the middle of the night, to visit me, on early Saturday 11th of Aoril.. He was standing outside, trying to phone me. The Receptionist unfortunately immediately assumed it was an intruder, and called the Police, who then arrested him and locked him up. Unfortunately due to problems with my phone's reception, I missed his calls. By then, it was too late, they had already taken him away. I asked at the reception desk if they had seen anyone outside, etc, but the Receptionist (an older guy,) just smiled , and could obviously not understand what I was saying. So it ruined the whole holiday, as I was only in Taiwan for a short visit, and never got to see him. It was supposed to be our Anniversary celebration last weekend, when all this happened. Because of all this, I would say, choose a hotel where staff can speak basic English, as it can cause a lot of inconvenience, and ruin things.
