Silver Lake Inn

Beautiful location by the lake, friendly hosts, lovely breakfast, excellent value for money. Will be back in August.

Great hosts, beautiful location!

John and Kathie are great folks and I truly enjoyed spending the night at their beautiful home. It was once of the coldest days of the year yet...but I shared a great meal. fantastic conversation, music and good down to earth company. I look forward to visiting in the near future!

The weather!!! Coldest night of the year up to that night!

We originally booked for 2 nights and extended for an extra night. The Silver Lake Inn is a “gold” mine - what a find, what a treasure, what a hidden gem.

The only downside of our trip is that we couldn’t stay there longer :)

Very homely and welcoming hosts. On our arrival, we were greeted by the hosts with their cute puppy. The breakfast was delicious and it felt like a home away from home.

The location is beautiful even though it was a miserable rainy windy day! Kathie and her son Josh could not have been more helpful or friendly. Kathies breakfast was brilliant-all home cooked food and very tasty!

We were not expecting to share facilities- that may well be our fault but it was a downer. Having said that there was no actual problem however we felt a little awkward with 8guests staying and sharing 1 bathroom and a second toilet. The 2 eating areas were certainly adequate however the lack of a kitchen sink and running water was unusual.

The hosts are very kind and considerate. The room is clean and comfort.

A little far away from the central places.

The view of the lake was spectacular. John and Kathy were both helpful and fun. John hooked us up with the tragic FSU v Clemson game.

The bathroom is communal, though it was never a problem.
