Cozy apartment with balcony facing the beautiful church. Sunday morning bells might wake you up but otherwise we slept like babies 😊 Everything is near (Mesta is a small village), but no restaurants or bars on the same street so it was very calm (in May at least). The weather was a bit chilly as it was raining the first day we got there, but we just turned on the heater and the air conditioner on and it was perfect. Unlike in the pictures, there were chairs and a table on the balcony so it was nice to have coffee or a glass of wine there. There are high stairs between the floors, which wasn't a problem for us but maybe not the best place if you have any problems with balance or legs. Gabriela had some nice gifts for us waiting and answered everything quickly! Thank you! Would definitely come back again!

Locatie was geweldig, midden in het centrum van Mesta. Traditioneel huisje dat ze heel mooi hebben verbouwd. Volledig ingerichte keuken.

As a returning guest of Mesta, I know the village and its traditional stone houses quite well. In the past, my stays were usually arranged by local friends who know the village inside out. This time, I chose and booked this house myself in order to experience a different corner of Mesta on my own. Anyone familiar with Mesta understands that these medieval stone homes come with a very specific character. The thick fortress-like walls, the layout and the atmosphere are all part of the authenticity. Especially in winter, lighting the wood stove creates a truly cozy and memorable experience — it feels less like a hotel stay and more like living within the history of the village. (A small winter tip: make sure to light the stove early 😉.) The house was clean, and extra duvets, blankets and pillows were thoughtfully provided. Upstairs there was a wood-burning stove, and downstairs there was an electric heater. The kitchen had the necessary essentials for a comfortable stay. Because of the thick stone walls — which are exactly what make Mesta so unique — the Phone and internet connection downstairs was limited, while Wi-Fi was available upstairs. Perhaps adding an additional router for Wifi downstairs could enhance the overall comfort. Overall, for visitors who appreciate authentic village houses and want to fully embrace the medieval charm of Mesta, this is a nice alternative — particularly during the winter season.

Great place to stay if you're in the area -- and with a car, much is convenient too. Comfortable, clean, nicely set up in the center of the medieval town; lovely balcony too; everything was just fine; and it was great having coffee available for our mornings. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!
