The Hill Villas

Trung and his wife are excellent hosts. Trung picked us up from the airport and when we left he took us to our hotel in Dong Hoi. We had a king room and it was a good size and clean. The bed was extra large and comfortable. Some reviews said the beds were hard but we found ours very comfortable, firm how we like it but not hard. Good size bathroom too, with a spacious sink area just outside the bathroom. For the money this was excellent value. Good breakfast included . We picked this location as it was a bit out of town, so quieter. It was only 5 mins on a scooter that we hired from Trung. We arrived early at 11am and we could get in our room early. Trung advised us which cave to go to on the scooter that afternoon and using google translate his wife helped us choose a day tour for the following day. As we booked the tour through them (no extra cost) we got 1kg free washing and a free dinner. The home cooked dinner was delicious. A choice of non-veg or veg set menus and within each set menu there were choices. We had soup, spring rolls, 2 main course dishes, rice and stir fried veg. There was so much it could have fed 3-4 people. I definitely recommend staying here if you don't mind being a little out of town and using a scooter or taxi. We only went into town once as we were doing cave tours.

Everything was great. The inside of the fridge could have been cleaner but we only kept water bottles in it, so it wasn't a big deal.

We had a lovely stay here! Very good value for the money. The couple who run the place are super helpful and accommodating. They offer inexpensive rides to town, will pick up food in town for you and the provided breakfast in house is great.

Facilities are good quality. Staff very friendly and try to accommodate all requests. Rooms are clean and up to standard, good price.

Beds could more comfortable.

Good, calm location a little but outside of town. The host is very kind and helping. They would pick us up and drop us off in town. They helped out with booking day trip as well as moped and recommendations of where to go.

We really enjoyed staying at Hill Villas, such a lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, very peaceful, and excellent value for money. Our host Trung and his wife went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and provided many free trips to and from town. We also had some great trips with Trung providing the transport to the paradise cave and botanical park. When our train tickets were cancelled last minute Trung was able to find us bus tickets at very short notice. Highly recommend you stay here in this beautiful part of the world.

Good location. Excellent hosts. Very good breakfast and evening meals available if you want to stay in.

The hotel is lovely, very comfortable beds and really clean rooms!! Trung is also amazing, couldn’t have done more for us, booking transport, day tours and driving us to attractions we wanted to see. The hotel is a few minutes drive from the main road which is nicer as it’s so quiet and in nature! Would definitely recommend!!
