"Shabby chic in rural Alentejo"

All the little touches: the art, antiques, and the obvious care that went into modernizing an old typical village house. Great layout with lots of space for two couples, a well stocked kitchen including a good size refrigerator and freezer, and a lovely rural location just 20 minutes drive from Mértola. The cookies were a nice suprise too.

The door lock is a little fussy but one of us in the group seemed to have the magic touch so we put him in charge of that task!

Spacious house, parking straight in front of the house on the 'street'. House is located in a quiet tiny village. Host was not onside, but extremely helpful.

Although it was already end of October and all windows have hors, we still had some nasty mosquitos. Even 50% DEET didn't keep them away. Probably bad luck.
