"Comfortable, well equipped cottage within striking reach of the coast and the lakes."

10.0

The cottage is in a good location on the edge of Gosforth for the coast one way and lakes the other. There is a good selection of pubs and places to eat nearby and the cottage is comfortable and well equipped. I've already booked my next (and third) stay!

The key collection box is above (my) head height and in a dark spot - I needed a torch and glasses to see the numbers properly and it took me a couple of goes to get them right. Might just be me and my crappy eye sight though!

"A fab trip!"

10.0

The cottage was lovely! Super clean, with everything you could possibly need. Lovely and quiet, all we could hear were the birds and the little stream round the back (which we loved having breakfast by in the mornings!). Would definitely come back again.

It was a lovely place and comfortable. It is close to a well loved lake.

It isnt the owners fault, but it is on one road leading to a well liked Lake, so a bit of traffic.

"Fantastic cosy stay in a nice country cottage!"

9.0

Great location and a lovely comfortable cottage. Easy check in and a great space.

Parking wasn’t the easiest, through no fault of the hosts.

"Lovely place to stay for a few nights on a work trip."

9.0

This was a lovely place to stay with all I needed for 4 nights away with work. Everything is on one level - there is a large fridge, good seating in the lounge and a comfortable bed. Getting in and out of the property was very straightforward. The parking is not right outside but is not far down the road (30 yards) and easy to get to and from and there was always space. The location is excellent for getting to the coast or into Wasdale Valley and there is a good selection of places to eat not too far away. There are also walks from the door and a co-op in Seascale along with an excellent ice cream shop!

There was a faint smell of damp in the cottage that was noticeable to me even after the windows had been open. You can hear road noise in the cottage. The neighbours dog is the friendliest dog ever and I was happy to have him welcoming me back... Although others might not be so happy to have a jumping dog greeting them. It also might be an issue if guests had their own dog who perhaps wasn't dog friendly as to get to the garden for the cottage you had to pass through an area shared with the neighbour.
