Kambu Mara Camp

1. We loved the staff, they provide the service of 5 stars hotel! Chef Nelson cooked delicious food and adjusted to our taste. We stayed for 5 days 4 nights and have all our meals with him. He is superb! Nelson 2 is always smiling and helpful to our request for tea, beef, coffee and even help us bought something from town. Bush walking with Simon was interesting and he is patience and knowledgable. Lastly, Allan our safari guide is top notch. On day 1, we seen countless animals and he also bought us to a tree for beautiful sunrise photos. Allan has superb driving skills and he knows all the different animals territory. If I am back to Maasai Mara, I will surely do another safari with him. 2. The camp itself is excellent. It’s clean. Nelson clean up our room on day 2, change our towels which is a pleasant surprised. We have hot showers after a long day at safari, loved the fireplace. This camp is supported 80 percent by solar panel which is excellent. We also loved the fact that we don’t have to pay for park fees on the day we didn’t want to enter safari. 3. The transport organised by Nathan to and from safari was also nice and reasonable. It’s a spacious new Toyota Noah. Drivers are also very nice. We stopped by Rift Viewpoint for beautiful scenery and souvenir shopping, went to a nice local restaurant for Ugali. On the way back to Nairobi, we stopped by Navisha for boat safari and Tabby took us to a nice place for Chicken Inn. We are very thankful to experience Kenya’s hospitality from start to end. We visited Kambu Mara as a family of four with two kids under 10, and we had a wonderful experience. It’s a very family-friendly place and we felt comfortable and safe throughout our stay. The tent was clean and well maintained, with a toilet inside the tent, which was very convenient. There were also clean toilets next to the restaurant. Every evening there was a fire pit lit, which created a lovely atmosphere for relaxing together as a family. The food was tasty and well prepared, and the kids enjoyed it too. Our game drive was amazing, we were lucky enough to see a wide variety of animals, including the big five. Alan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, sharing interesting information about the animals and the nearby villages. In the evenings, there were games available for families that kept everyone entertained. We also enjoyed star gazing at night. The camp is close to the national reserve, yet away from the main road, so it’s peaceful and quiet. We even saw giraffes nearby and zebras right over the fence, which was an amazing experience for the kids. Highly recommended.

Las tiendas tienen todo lo que necesitas, sencillas pero muy cómodas. El personal es tan amable y siempre dispuestos a ayudarte y hacerte sentir bien.

Informatie over safari's Keuken had geen kookfaciliteit, tweede dag werd er toch nog een brander neergezet, dat was fijn wat afgelegen

Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel, comfortabele tenten van alle gemakken voorzien inclusief eigen badkamer. Heerlijk eten. Verder was er een ontzettende lieve hond aanwezig.

Eigenlijk niets maar als ik dan toch iets moet noemen waren de stoelen voor de tenten en in de eetzaal iets minder comfortabel. Ook hadden we het idee dat de safarigids Allen soms iets drukker was met zijn eigen tiktokfilmpjes maken dan met ons de dingen laten zien die we graag wilden zien (vogels).
