A simple, no-frills homestay that matches what’s shown in the photos and offers good value for money. Mahesh, the host, was friendly and easy to communicate with throughout my stay. One of the highlights was enjoying breakfast with a beautiful view over the valley—a perfect way to start the day. The property is located about a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride uphill from the city centre, making it a very peaceful and relaxing retreat. As an alternative to PickMe, the host’s father offers tuk-tuk rides.

Do note that the final walk up to the homestay is quite steep and may be challenging for less mobile guests. The curtains are fairly light, so guests who are sensitive to early morning light may want to bring an eye mask.

Amazing views, delicious dinner at a reasonable price, one of the best I have tasted in Sri Lanka. Big spacious room as with the bathroom, comfy bed with a bed net and fan. Lovely balcony with outdoor dining sitting area. Teas coffee making facilities. Lovely kind host as with his family, made me feel very welcome, drove me to the Pekoe trail twice for addition cost. Host will pick you up from Main Street, otherwise other tuk tuk driver may not find homestay. A lovely tranquil place to stay away from busy Ella noise, listening to the sounds of birds having breakfast overlooking stunning views.

A little far from Ella Main Street, but host has tuk tuk. Tea/coffee/sugar would have been nice, perhaps overlooked.

Außerordentlich gut alles war sehr sauber und wunderschön. Die Aussicht ist einfach fantastisch, und die Gastgeber sind äußerst zuvorkommend und freundlich. Frühstück ist sehr lecker.

Echt fantastisch, niet normaal uitzicht vanuit de kamer. Ook nog eens een heerlijk ontbijt en een hele fijne gastheer.

Nur zu empfehlen. Die Familie ist so so lieb und macht alles möglich. Über sie kann man auch immer problemlos ein TukTuk buchen und Ella erkunden. Das Frühstück war auch super und die Aussicht von der Unterkunft aus atemberaubend! Wir konnten jeden Morgen den Sonnenaufgang anschauen da sie Richtung Osten ausgerichtet ist. Das heißt, dass man auch Nachmittags super auf der Terrasse entspannen konnte und nicht zu viel Sonne abbekommen hat. Die Unterkunft ist eine 10/10 und ich würde jedes Mal wieder hier buchen. Danke für die schöne Zeit! 😊

Die Aussicht war wirklich ein absolutes Highlight unseres Aufenthalts – besonders beim Frühstück. Morgens mit so einem wunderschönen Blick aufzuwachen, hat jeden Tag besonders gemacht. Mahesh war außerdem unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Er hat sich jederzeit darum gekümmert, dass es uns an nichts fehlt, und war immer für uns da. Sogar nach unserem Aufenthalt hat er uns noch unterstützt, was wir sehr geschätzt haben.
