Villa Patitiri cave house with private pool in Megalochori Santorini

The villa was spotless with everything you could possibly need. The little pool was a godsend to cool down in in the afternoon. Stephanie was so helpful and even let us check out later than expected.

The showers were a bit of a challenge as they weren't hooked up on the wall but we managed.

The two rooms worked well for me and my mum. We had our own space which was perfect. The plunge pool made this stay Without the pool it would have been a different stay. Glad of the air conditioning in the rooms. Comfortable beds and great location.

The handheld shower was not ideal in both bathrooms. Overhead shower would have been much more easier and preferred especially when pregnant. Middle of washing my hair and the water went off with no warning. Not ideal however the host did come back to me straight away when i messaged. There was a lack of basics such as extra toilet rolls, bin bags, cling films etc. A toaster would have been more preferrable over at least 3 coffee machines and a toasty maker. A sun umbrella would have been perfect for a little shade in the mid heat of the day and foldable sun loungers rather than just chairs so you could lie out and sunbathe. There was flaking paint in the upstairs bedroom which wasn't ideal and got worse as the days went on as it was all over the floor and had to hoover up. Unfortunately we were massively disturbed with banging every single night which went on for hours till at least 2.00/3.00am so if you want a peaceful nights sleep this will be a problem.

Absolutely beautiful accomodation in the center of Megalochori. Two separate bedroom/living areas with bathrooms. The local bus to Fira and Perissa (black beach) departs from bus stops at The Family Bakery, which also has super affordable and delicious coffee!

Nothing to fault about the villa, but the homeless cats and very small kittens in the island is heartbreaking.

Stefania’s traditional cave house provides a truly unique, experience. The rooms are simple, yet charming, with an authentic Greek feeling. The outdoor space with pool was a lovely place to cool off in the evenings and enjoy some drinks. We really enjoyed the quiet location in the traditional town of Megalochori, away from the chaos of Fira and Oia, but still an easy drive to the busier towns etc. The Kafeneio at the end of the street was one of the best dining experiences we had whilst in Greece; definitely recommend visiting, especially at night to enjoy some live music and traditional homemade dishes.

Stefanie was a gracious host from beginning to end. The villa was beautiful and clean. Villa was easy to get to from the parking area. The area is cute and quiet.

This is an awesome property, the owner is a great person to deal with. Very helpful and kind.

The house is stunning, a true oasis of calm and luxury. Located just off the main road it is within seconds of the village centre where there are many fantastic restaurants. The village is very pretty and off the main tourist track so much quieter than the other towns. We hired a car and the parking was easy to find nearby and free. The arrival instructions were very clear and Stefania was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The house itself is beautifully decorated with all the necessities such as air con, coffee machine, fridge, and the pool is just big enough to cool down in. For the price this is a stunning luxury home away from home and I wouldn't hesitate to book this again for our next trip.
