Great stay especially with value for money for ments. Handra was great sorting me out with everything I needed before I left (ferry tickets etc). Kep was also extremely helpful and took care of me when my ferry got cancelled. Food was good and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Jasar never put me wrong in terms of the best place to surf on the day so had good waves every day.

Would’ve been great if they had a boat to take me to the different breaks although walking through the jungle was an experience in itself. It wasn’t really any issue for me because I just bought a SIM card before I left but there’s no wifi.

Epic location. Very private with the sound of the ocean to help get you to sleep. I also think what’s not advertised is there’s a private beginner wave out front if the Beng Beng crowd and setup is a bit too intense for those just starting out! It looks like there’s plenty of depth and minimal reef to think about, and will help you practice getting to your feet and going straight (every now and then there’s a face to ride along- and I didn’t see it when there was a really big swell coming through).

The location was amazing. They helped us out with boats and breakfast lunch and dinner was amazing. I had really good surfs and my girlfriend loved it.

My stay at the camp was phenomenal. The staff really care about you and that you have a great time. You are greated by Hadra at the Padang airport. He helps you handle all the logistics like purchasing ferry tickets, finding medicines and food supplies. He drops you off at the ferry and then Teddy picks you up in Siberut. Teddy and his staff are wonderful. They highly prioritize you above everything else. They are very attentive to your requests and help accommodate whatever they can within their means. The food is outstanding. I ate delicious for a week. The vibe is very friendly. You are always greated with a good morning by everyone. There is absolutely no question that I will stay here again when I return to Mentawai. Masura Bagata Teddy, Ferdy, Renaldi, Harda and the cook. I hope to see you again next year.

Well, everything in Mentawai is underdeveloped, which is also a reason to go there and not, say, Bali. The hostel was only started in 2023 and they’ve made tremendous progress. There are things that you wish you had, but that would obviously come at a higher cost.

The staff were super helpful and friendly. Teddy and Ferdy were very helpful and communicated well for the planning and during our stay. The location is phenomenal just behind the beach and near Beng Bengs surf break. The peace and quiet was wonderful too.

The facilities were very basic, this is part of the charm of the place but some more creature comforts could have been nice. The food was nice but quite minimal and there is any facilities to buy extra food.

Super friendly staff, who were super accomodating. The food was good and it was a prime location - close to other resorts, making it easy to make friends, and also in close proximity to multiple surf breaks.

Beds could have been a bit comfier.
