Perch El Nido's Seaview Villas overlooking Marimegmeg

We stayed here in February 2026 and it was an exceptional experience. The team provided supportive and clear communication before our arrival which helped us plan our transportation and check in. The whole team is friendly, caring and kind. They helped us plan our private island tour and I appreciated being connected with one of the more reputable tour companies, Ape Tours. We loved that the location is just outside of downtown El Nido- away from the crowds- with a spectacular view at sunset. Everything was clean and tidy. The shuttle was always available to pick us up from the McDonald’s nearby. I would totally stay here again. Cheers to the wonderful team at Perch!

The breakfast was great, the view and hosts were amazing.

The property is directly next to a zip line so you hear people screaming from 8:30am-5pm, in addition to construction, in addition to wild dogs sometimes barking until 4am. The property is also up a very large hill so there is no way to get down but for the shuttle and then a tuktuk into town or anywhere on the other side of the island. Not conveniently located and not as quiet as advertised. Also our shower door would not close/lock. Low trickling water pressure. Not worth the price tag.

Der Ausblick, der Service einfach rundherum alles!!! Nicah und Kim waren so unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder buchen. Wer Sorge hat weil es etwas außerhalb ist den kann ich beruhigen. Es gibt einen kostenlosen Transport rauf und runter zum nahegelegenen Mc Donalds und von dort kann man mit dem Roller oder TucTuc in die Stadt fahren.

The rustic but polished style, the room space a d the incredible view from the pool area. The helpful service of Rose who helped me book the best boat day I’ve ever had (which my travelling companions also agreed). And Kim was a great welcoming host for our arrival talking us through everything we needed to know.

I liked everything but it is very boutique which means it doesn’t have all the services of larger properties but the service they provide is excellent.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this accommodation. The team was incredibly friendly and helpful – every wish we had was fulfilled. It was especially convenient that they were always quickly reachable via WhatsApp and responded immediately. When we had some stomach issues, they even provided us with several bottles of water free of charge, which we really appreciated. On the day of our departure, we had to leave very early due to our flight, and they still prepared a small breakfast for us to take away. Overall, the service was exceptionally warm and attentive. We felt completely comfortable and can highly recommend this accommodation. Thank you for the great stay!

Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like. If we had to mention one small thing, it would be that it would be nice to have the option to order from a few more restaurants.

The view

We got a very serious food poisoning, was scammed with an excursion costing 30 000 PHP / 450 euro, without refund, despite the deposit was only 10K, and we were naive to pay the entire sum in advance. When I asked for at least some document proving the card payment was for excursion, I was promised by the personal it will be delivered, but despite the multiple reminders it was never done, thus I couldn't activate my insurance policy. Overall the staff was not friendly(except Kim), not even asking how we are being very sick locked in the room for 2 days. In the last day of our stay there was not even running water in the facility. When we moved to a new hotel, the hosts there offered us a medication service and helped us to recover from the food poisoning, which demonstrates how in Perch do NOT care for their guests. Be also informed the place is on a top of a hill and can only be reached by an off road viacle, which the host only provide until 12 PM O'clock, meaning you should forget going to a bar or any other late activities, while staying in Perch. Overall very disappointing stay in the villa that nearly ruined our overall experience of the 2 weeks vacation in The Philippines.
