Title: Stunning Location with Great Potential, But Fails on Luxury Basics ​The property itself is truly stunning and has amazing potential. However, our experience was unfortunately defined by a significant gap between the "luxury" price tag and the actual offering. ​For what is marketed as luxury accommodation, the complete lack of basic, non-negotiable amenities was shocking. There was no in-room tea or coffee station, and the bathroom was bare—no standard toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc.) were provided. Worse, we were expected to pay extra for simple items like ice, an emergency toothbrush, or a sewing kit. This is not a luxury experience. ​The maintenance in our villa was also a letdown. The shower was old, with a plastic bottom that had black marks resembling mould. During a rainstorm, our thatched roof began leaking. ​Furthermore, the breakfast offering was deeply inadequate. A luxury resort should offer a comprehensive continental breakfast, not just a single muesli bowl option—which was then unavailable for two days of our stay. ​The service team offered no real apologies for these inconveniences, such as the leaking roof or items running out. The constant feeling of being "nickeled and dimed" for basics that should be included in the price was frustrating. ​The team needs to seriously benchmark their pricing and offerings against other lodges. As it stands, the experience feels overrated, and despite its potential, I would not recommend it or return.
