The property was well located and the rooms were clean.

The rooms were very basic, small and, in our view, overpriced for what they were - we’ve stayed in a lot of very nice hotels in France. The WiFi was practically non-existent in either room. The manager was rather rude - telling my daughter off for not letting them know in advance that we weren’t intending to have breakfast (at EUR 14 each), even though it wasn’t in the booking. The restaurant was rather pretentious - trying to be something that it was not. The manager/waitress had a rather snooty, offhand attitude. I think the cheapest set menu was EUR 79 and a bottle of very ordinary Loire white was EUR 42. The main courses were nice (tuna steak in particular) but the Tiramisu was a bowl of whipped cream with frozen finger pastries lurking at the bottom. Not a great experience overall.

Hotel and room authentically French. Restaurant in separate building directly across narrow street, was superb. Expensive but paying for a excellence of cuisine and brilliant wine list. Service was very professional and clear to see why it enjoys such a good reputation - well supported by locals. Private carpark for hotel guests.

Breakfast was average and room was tiny, though traditional range of options was available. Stairs to bedrooms a bit challenging for the less athletic!

Peu de contact avec les accueillants , la personne était sympathique mais très pressée à notre départ ; elle faisait la mise en place de la salle pour le repas du dimanche midi. On s’est senti un peu expédié à 11h. Dommage car l ‘établissement donne un ton familial . Sinon le reste est plus que correct. Agréable de pouvoir se garer sans le parking
