Nothing about the property. Just that the beach is more a fisherman‘s beach than touristic.

Extremely poor hygiene standards, and at that price, it's not worth it.

We loved the beautiful and spacious room, comfortable bed, welcome drink, fridge inside the room (which is rare for most hotels in rural areas), location very close to the beach, good breakfast, huge outside shower and bathroom with waterfall shower head, and kind staff.

The main staff we worked with, Sarfraz, told us that the kitchen closed at 9:30pm if we wanted to order food for dinner. We ordered food at 6:55pm, and we were never told that we needed to order hours in advance or we would have to wait for an exorbitant amount of time to receive our food. We went to bed at 8:30pm on account of having to catch a train early the next morning, and I had asked at 7:30pm if they would be bringing food to our room or the restaurant. We told them we would go to the restaurant to eat our food. After going to bed, we got a knock at the door at 9:15pm and were told our food had arrived. We pulled ourselves out of bed and found a small dish of shrimp (that they called prawns), a small dish of naan bread, and a very small chicken breast and minuscule-sized chicken leg. All of the food did not look appetizing, and it arrived almost 2 1/2 hours after we ordered. We did not eat the food and asked Sarfraz not to charge us for the food. The next morning, when we were checking out early, Sarfraz told us that the reason the food took so long was because we had to have our order in by 6:30pm, due to the number of guests ordering food. That detail was never communicated to us the night before when we were ordering food, nor when we checked into our room. The food was going to be almost 800 rupees for cold and unappetizing minor amounts of food. Sarfraz did not charge us for the dinner and packed us a breakfast sandwich the next morning, as we left early to catch our train. All in all, the amenities were good, but the communication was not clear. In our experience in India, we are told one thing and then the rules are changed and somehow it becomes our fault and we are asked to pay more for poor customer service. Luckily, we did not have to pay for the lackluster dinner service.
