Coastview Cottage ,quiet beach holiday

The view and location were great.

The cottage was in a nice location with lovely views Had everything needed plenty of room for us and kids

The WiFi didn't work and looked like wires ripped out Dusty behind sofas n window sills

Loved the view from the bedroom and living room of the sea. It was so peaceful there.

It wasn't as close to the beach as we'd expected. The description says beach front so we assumed we could basically walk onto the beach within a few minutes. The photos didn't show that there is a caravan site below you that was closer to the beach. It was cosy but it could do with some updating, it was quite old fashioned. The WiFi wasn't working, there is no central heating or radiators in any of the rooms, just a convector heater & small plug in portable radiator in the living room. The light in the downstairs shower/toilet wasn't working properly, it was temperamental. The upstairs shower was leaking so we were advised not to use that too. I also found long blonde hairs left on the end of the bath in between the taps.

Coastview Cottage is in a great location with a gorgeous sea view. We needed a last-minute, dog-friendly overnight stay and this was perfect. The TV is impressive, it has all the basics and the bed in the main bedroom is really comfortable. It's tucked away, but easy to find if you follow the host's directions. If you're staying in Pendine, Lotus Chinese Takeaway is delicious and Stone Range Cafe, a five minute drive away, does the most amazing breakfasts!

I think it depends on what you're looking for, because it is relatively inexpensive for the area and size of the property. With that, comes a house that needs some TLC, upgrading and a deep clean. For example, there are two plug in heaters and no other heating source. The living room warmed up with those heaters but then upstairs was colder. We stayed in mid-October so it was fine, but over winter it could be a challenge. It was clean enough for a night and we had a takeaway, but the fridge was a bit grubby and most of the mugs were chipped which are small grumbles but it makes a difference to how you feel about a place. I read all of the reviews and, having read the ones about cleanliness in particular, I was pleasantly surprised by the house when we arrived... but it's all relative!

It was perfect for our trip. We could only stay one night. Wish we could have stayed longer. It was a great find.

In need of decorating, deep cleaning

It was quiet, great views and location was perfect for what we wanted. Lots of clean towels and little touches like shower gel & washing up liquid , hairdryer and flowers were very nice.

It was very dated and the outside space could have done with a table and general tidying, weeding etc , it just felt a little unloved . With updated decor and furniture this place could be stunning.
