Accommodation and location was perfect. We had an early arrival. Anthony the host advised we could drop our bags at the accomodation at 11 while cleaners were in. However previous guests checked out eariler and Anthony advised we could enter the property earlier. This communication was so welcome. We only stayed for 2 days and had a jam packed itinery. I would recommend popping into Maggies bar. We met some lovely locals and chatted about the history of the area. We will certainly be back.

The location is convenient to the city centre, the house was spotlessly clean, and the host had left some handy bits and pieces for our stay (milk, crisps, cereal, biscuits etc). The bedrooms were spacious enough and beds comfortable. The host was responsive when I messaged about a particular issue I had during our stay.

There are a few things that I would like the hosts to improve before a return visit - there is no handrail at all on the stairs so not the best for anyone who may be unsteady on stairs (eg young children), no bath mat to be found and the bath was a bit slippery when showering as a result. The sofa in the sitting room is blocking the radiator so restricts the heat coming out into the room.

Reasonable space for 5 people and good value

The area doesn't give the best first impression with rubbish outside. The double bed in the back bedroom (facing garden) the mattress isn't very comfortable.
