"We would not recommend this as a first stop for someone coming to the Philippines."

The staff were friendly, breakfast was included.

It was noisy, with music and a rooster at all hours. We had a minor medical incident and the facility had no first aid kit. The bathroom facility was not well kept.

So secluded and cute town we really loved being there away from the overtouristic El Nido. There are few restaurant that serve amazing and good quality food in town. View, sunsets and the whole beachfeeling is amazing. Huts were really cute with mosquito net.

Road to get there takes a while (Tuktuk then 10 min walk from bridge or 15 min from mainstreet by motorcycle with not really good roads). Just be aware since you sleep in huts that you gonna wake up with the roaster at around 5.15am (no walls, loud in the morning).

I'm not 100% sure if it was the bed, but I have dozens of large red welts all over my body due to bed bugs.

Lovely staff. Brekkie available every morning for 150 pesos. Right on the beach, step out of your hut or tent right on to the sand. Relaxing, quiet, and massages available all day on the beach

Bucana beach itself isn’t the cleanest but rent a bike and head to duli beach or nacpan for day trip

We loved this secluded beach camp! It was so quiet and beautiful. There are hammocks and chairs to layout in as well as lots of space on the beach. There’s a few beachfront restaurants nearby and the breakfast at Akoya was great! The family who owns it are wonderful and so helpful! We had such an amazing time and can’t wait to come back!!

It was a rough road to get there, but in the end it was just a great adventure 💪
