Amazing Studio near CBD

Proximity to the CBD is as advertised, The property was extra clean and had extra modern facilities, it was comfortable and the host Mwakuja, serving and receiving you with a brilliant smile, was on call for anything that we required.

The apartment was in very good condition and Phlomena, the host, was lovely. The location is alright, about a 15 minute walk to old town. We did have some locals approach us and suggest we stay on main roads. There is a water filter that has chilled water for your use which was lovely in the Mombasa heat. Lots of cutlery, dishes, and appliances in the kitchen. The blender was a bit dirty but otherwise it has everything you could possibly need. Wifi works well and the TV connects to multiple streaming services. Phlomena also did our washing for a reasonable price which we were very appreciative of.

Whilst the apartment does have a ceiling fan and a portable fan, it stays incredibly hot during the night. We are used to a hot climate but could not sleep in this heat. I understand an air conditioner may not be possible, but even an evaporative cooler may have been helpful. The cold water tap in the bathroom was even too hot to use during the day! Even with wet washers on our necks, leaving windows and the door open at night, and using the portable fan blowing out the window, the heat was just unbearable and the fans provided no relief as they just blew around hot air. We ended up leaving a day early as we were not coping, but others may manage better than us.

Very clean. Lots of no expense spared new equipment. Lovely friendly host. Convenient for the old town.

We had a power failure but it was put right by the host as soon as possible.

It was an absolutely amazing apartment. Everything was there. Great bed. Nice kitchen and shower. Great tv and sound bar. I highly recommend this. I will stay there next time in Mombasa. The host is really great and made me feel at home.
