Forest wood-Port Barton

Nice size room & bathroom with table outside to eat breakfast, they offer laundry & help you book trips, umbrellas available for use

Due to rainy season and there being a storm it smelt a bit damp and there was no running water for half the time. The WiFi is also very weak inside the room. But I think these are all common problems in port Barton and not specific to the accomodation

Hosts were super nice, very helpful and accommodating! Organised tours for us and assisted us with tuktuk back to bus terminal on check out, gave us advice for our onward journey, and helped us without question with a big spider that welcomed itself into the room! Location is great, shops/restaurants easily walkable, 2-3 minute walk to the beach, one straight short road, felt safe and secure in the area. Free tea/coffee station for use which was lovely. Room had AC which is always great.

Only issue we had was a slight damp smell in room/bathroom A small fridge for our personal water would have been nice, not a complaint/dislike, rather a suggestion! :)

The room and property were beautiful. Room was clean and you can hire tours, bike and van from the front desk.

The location was dificult. a couple of blocks away from the beach, the streets were flooded due to rain so it was hard to come and go. If I knew it was like that I would have stayed closer to the beach.

Good location. You paid what you get for. Comfortable for sleep and shower. Nice garden around. You get shampoo, soap and towels. Also there is a coffee and tea station for free.

All the staff was kind and accommodating. They were very helpful in assisting us with all our needs. The accommodation has a homey feel has nice bed, nice bathroom, and free coffee

The location was good and it was cheap. The rooms were okay.

The WiFi wasn’t working at all (couldn’t connect) and when I went to reception to deal with it the lady wasn’t there, just a sign saying that reception is open until 10pm (it was 9pm). The breakfast was okay but not great. There wasn’t a proper duvet or bed cover just a blanket that didn’t look very nice.

The location of the property was good, it was secluded but still very close to the beach. Also convenient to rent a bike

Room wasn’t cleaned in 4 days, shower power was the worst I’ve ever seen, nearly impossible to take a shower (granted I have heard it’s the same in a lot of places). Advertised to have wifi but you may aswell not try as it doesn’t work. Stayed for 4 days, on the last evening we asked for a new towel as we’d been using the same one but were told we’d to pay for it. Really expensive for what you actually end up getting
