The Old Tailors Cottage

Lovely kitchen and lounge. Very clean. Good location to visit Nottingham and Loughborough.

Second bedroom was a bit too small for double bed. House was quite warm and still despite it not being a really hot day.

We didn’t actually end up sleeping over but we used the place for me and my bridal party to get ready at and I couldn’t believe how well equipped it was. Sometimes you have to take hand soaps, washing up liquid, hair dryer etc to places but it had everything. It is such a stunning little cottage, clean throughout and very tastefully styled and I’d recommend for anyone getting married at Whatton house as it’s only a few minutes away or just for a quiet break away.

The front door had a crack in and didn’t feel very sturdy and safe, there’s extra sliding locks but they aren’t of any use as they are broken which is the only thing I can say that let it down only slightly

The Old Tailors Cottage is situated within the small picturesque village of Long Whatton - North West Leicestershire, 5 miles from Loughborough, near East Midlands Airport a few miles from Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. A modernised 2 bedroomed cottage with a quirky twist provided a pleasant experience for a long weekend. Adjacent is a village store and farm shop supplying adequate provisions.

Believed the cottage was originally part of a larger Town House and had been converted to a separate mews type accommodation therefore the staircase was fabricated as a steep half spiral - definitely care is required as there is no banister rail only a rope.
