Culver House, Aldeburgh

The owner, who lives nearby was so kind. My comments on the host relate to the agency. In my mind the owner is the host and the agency manage the property on her behalf. Owner gets a 10 and agency get a five. The house has lots of room. The gardens, front and rear, were good. The area was quiet and a good walk into the town. Nearby shopping was convenient. Keys are via Keysafe.

agency did not communicate with the cleaning team. so we were unable to get early access despite calling them. The agency called me to say the cleaning team were 'stressed' by me asking when they might be finished. So, asking simple neutral questions is stressing. Poor. I found their view of clean was somewhat different to mine! And £146 fee for cleaning is way too high.

Really good size house for a family. 3 decent size bedrooms and good to have 2 sitting rooms so the children could have their own space. Kitchen well equipped. Nice safe enclosed garden. With only 2 nights we didn't manage to use the BBQ but great to have one and good outside seating. Decent parking. Great wifi. Good quality and spotlessly clean linens and and towels. We weren't expecting much in the way of provisions for small kids - i.e. travel cot and high chair but both were there which was a pleasant surprise. Recommend you mention these in the write up. And the bottle of fizz to welcome us was much appreciated

A stair gate would be good for upstairs. The settees in the larger sitting room were not particularly comfortable but adequate. And a hand towel in the downstairs loo please
