Yello Hotel Harbour Bay

I didn’t try all the food during breakfast as I had already set my eyes on the porridge — and it did not disappoint! The chicken broth was especially good. My husband had their Indomie Rendang, freshly prepared and served on the spot. Our little one had a splendid time playing on the PS5, which was a nice touch.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay — everything was great. The staff were friendly and polite, which made us feel welcome. That said, there’s a bit of room for improvement in terms of service speed. It was a little slow, especially considering it wasn’t crowded and we were the only family there at the time. Other than that, it was an awesome experience!

Just a 5-minute walk from Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal, the hotel is conveniently located beside two popular seafood restaurants and near several convenience stores, with Indomaret just around the corner. The room was spacious and simply furnished with a bench, study table, and chair, plus one queen and one single bed. Despite being right in front of the lift, it was well-insulated; we barely heard any noise from other guests. The staff were exceptionally friendly—from the doorman to the front desk and cleaners. The front desk promptly replaced our lost access card. We enjoyed the table football and hockey games, and there’s also a PlayStation corner for guests. Wi-Fi was strong throughout the hotel with no device limit.

We stayed on the 3rd floor, where the corridor smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Although smoking isn’t allowed in rooms, it seems some guests smoke in the staircase next to the lift lobby, and the smell seeps through the door, which was often left ajar. Only one pillow per guest was provided — a couple more would’ve been nice. Toiletries were decent, but there was no hand soap on the first day; it was only supplied after we requested a room make-up in the afternoon. The room wasn’t cleaned in the morning, possibly because there was no “Please Make Up Room” sign, only a “Do Not Disturb” one. Toiletries weren’t replenished after cleaning, and we barely had enough toothpaste on our last day. The shower screen design also caused water to leak onto the toilet area, leaving it wet and messy. The windows were quite small and half-sized, though that’s due to the building design.
