Peaceful Environment

Though a bit small but for the price paid it was woth it.

We (4 friends) booked this place for our last night in Malapascua. It was very close to the port and since we had an early wake up, it was perfect for our needs. The lovely lady Sharon helped us in every way possible and made us feel very welcomed to the place. A huge thank you for her!!:)<3 There is this short forest pathway that leads close to Burger Junction (a burger place that is open 24/7) and to the closest beach. The path isn’t visible on google maps so do yourself a favor and ask help for finding it! The accommodation was clean, shower and toilet were good, we didn’t hear any disturbing noises (there’s roosters and chickens almost everywhere in Asia, you can’t escape them. If they are a problem to you, maybe buy earplugs.). The toilet were small yes, but you still can do your business there just fine, just put the shower on while in the toilet to keep the bucket of water for flushing full at all times. The AC worked perfectly and wasn’t loud in our opinion, many places have the exact same AC. The best way to find this place is to write “chiefs villa rental” on google maps, this place is just next to it but this is not the same rental place, just an extension of it. For us the booking app showed a totally different location on the map. We were quite worried to get to this place after reading the previous review but to be honest, we don’t find anything to complain about the place and would stay there again for sure if we come back again some day.

This is as awful as it can be. You're literally in the middle of a chicken farm. There's no toilet in the bathroom, no mirror, you have to do your business in a bidet, then use a bucket to flush it away. The shower pressure is so low it takes an eternity to use it. The AC is louder than a formula 1 engine. Little geckos can enter the room as well as cockroaches. Roosters are singing all day long starting from 2am so you get no rest whatsoever. You have to walk through a tiny dark alley with dogs barking at you to get to this extension at night. I just don't get how this property was allowed to be listed on booking... They have normal villas for rent, so don't be fooled by the photos and price and don't book here unless you really want to experience the wildness in its full glory.

The villa was extremely clean and well kept. Beds and linens were very comfortable and clean. The TV and air conditioning worked well and the bathroom was great.

The location can be a bit hard to find but it’s not a far walk to the main center of the island so it is still in a good spot.
