The Udderhouse - Udderly Unforgettable Retreat

We liked absolutely everything! Such a beautifully designed barn, and so well appointed with some lovely features, too. It was clean and tidy and had everything we needed to make our stay extra enjoyable. The location was great too.

There was nothing not to like!

Very comfortable & well equipped place to stay. Easy to find (with a few simple directions provided by the hosts a few days before my arrival), in a quiet location but with easy access to the A303 & multiple places of interest eg National Trust properties, within easy reach. Especially liked the Owl Cam viewable via the TV. Welcome cream tea with home made jam was also a really nice touch. Very easy parking right outside front door. Info on places to visit/things to do also appreciated. Outside patio with lounger chairs, garden view & dining table also a bonus.

As a single traveller was very happy to gain access to the property via the door code, so in some ways did not feel it was necessary for the hosts to also explain how everything worked, although there were some items eg electric blinds & lights on movement sensors in hallway that perhaps needed explaining, in case those staying did not read the information pack on arrival.

Nothing - everything was great!

The property was great, it had everything we could have needed. It was easy to get to and the hosts were amazing and welcoming, even letting my partner meet their dog which he was very happy about. The bed was probably the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. It had great little touches and the electric blinds just topped it all off, something I never even thought I would appreciate so much. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

It felt like home as soon as we walked in. One of the best holiday accommodations we have stayed in and the owners Martin and Karen made us feel very welcome.

Met by the hosts and the lovely four footed excitable host too. Lovely couple, lovely surround and a full tour of the house and working elements, inlcuding electric blinds operated by button. Opportunity to buy host made craft items and jam too. Ideally situated near some great dining choices and soooo quiet, great nights rest. Breakfast was fantastic just 3 mins down the road with a choice of 2 farm based specialist eateries. Easy off road parking, what more could you want

The place is pretty much perfect, the only extra I would have liked would have been an espresso maker of some kind, but it's not an issue, fully furnished kitchen might have been used for breakfast but we chose the host recommended cafe down the road, he wasn't wrong,
