Mossvale Lodge Country House Bed and Breakfast

My main memory of Mossvale was the shower!! As soon as I saw it, I had to try it! It was so powerful, it took my breath away!! 😊 My satnav wouldn't recognise the given post code, so I just picked the first one available, which actually took us to the turn off for the road we needed!! Our hosts were very friendly... especially Sam, the dog. Sam turned out to be a bit mental... which may, or may not, have had anything to do with me... 😇 🤔🤣 The 'Ulster fry', while nowhere near the gut-busting experience of my youth, was very nice and probably more in keeping with gentler, modern day, English stomachs. In fairness, I expect that a larger portion would have led to more waste. After a whole week of cooked Irish breakfasts, we won't be having another for some time to come!! We drove into Antrim, which wasn't far away at all, for an evening meal. Lots of choices, but probably best to check availability before you set off. We went to 'Top of the Town'. Great food. Fresh, plentiful and reasonably priced.

I can't think of anything we didn't like. It was pleasant all round.

Breakfast was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, John and Mary. Location was amazing. so peaceful.

Fabulous stay with Mary, John & Sam, very comfortable room with great bathroom and shower. Mary was a fabulous hostess, we had a very substantial tasty breakfast which was made early to accommodate our flight, we were given a food package which included warm croissants, bananas and satsumas for our journey home, we were made to feel very welcome. we were sad that we weren't staying longer especially as we didn't get opportunity to explore Randelstown which is close by. Nothing to complain about but everything to love at this guest house. Thanks

"I stayed at Mossvale Lodge for 4 nights for a work trip and I was welcomed by Mary, John and their dog Sam with open arms and treated like one of the family. The room was spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean and had lovely bathroom facilities. The breakfast was outstanding - everything was cooked to perfection and there was a wide variety of what you could have to eat. Mary went above and beyond to make sure I was well fed, watered and happy throughout my entire stay - she couldn't do enough for me, honestly she is the nicest person I have ever met. I mean that genuinely. As a solo traveller for work it can be quite lonely at times but coming home to Mossvale Lodge and spending time with Mary and John, going on walks and having a catch up over a cup of coffee honestly made me feel so much better. They let me work in their lounge and put a lovely fire on for me every night and it was like a home away from home. I was very sad to leave them and I will definitely be back in the future, if not through work then through my own leisure. Thank you Mary and John and I will see you soon! 🙂"

Excellent host, very welcoming & approachable. Very spacious, airy, decor perfect.Bed very comfortable, cleanliness excellent. Breakfast/ refreshments plentiful, top quality, delicious & well presented. Excellent value ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely stay here again.

Great location, spotlessly clean and excellent customer service. The owner was very welcoming and went above and beyond.

We had a really beautiful room here. Our hosts were so warm and kind (incl. the dog). The breakfast was very plentiful and really good! It's a quick drive to Antrim, where we had a very good dinner on the recommendation of our hosts. Thanks for the great hospitality!
