Beautiful house. Spacious and very clean. Loved the location.

Our stay was too short!

There was a lovely welcome gift on arrival and someone called in to ask if everything was okay.

Location

Most of the kitchen equipment was broken or very old making it dangerous to use. Frying pan had teflon surface very scratched (dangerous) garlic press broken. We had to buy a frying pan and a garlic press. The glass was dirty on the stairs. The lights above the sink were filthy. The cooker was dirty. All the surfaces in the kitchen needed cleaning before we could prepare any food in there. Difficulty getting access at first because of the confusion of being sent two different PIN numbers to access the keys. Some days was difficult to park near the property. Couldn’t access property until 5pm but had to be out by 10am therefore losing almost a full day of our holiday.

On arrival there was a 'skidmark' in the ensuite toilet!!!! not very pleasant!

Felt like home from home. Loved the decor and very comfortable stay.

Confusing coffee machine

The central location and easy walk to the beach. We were fortunate that we could always find a free parking space a short walk away. Good that we could unload outside the property. Sofas very comfortable. Great mattress in the main bedroom and good quality fixtures and fittings in the bathrooms. Cleanliness in the lounge area, bedroom and bathrooms was good.

Disappointed with the cleaning in the kitchen, The empty cupboard we used to store our food was not clean. The glasses, crockery and cutlery needed a good run through the dishwasher before use. The cafetiere was filthy (a very poorly designed lid did not help). It felt like the cleaners concentrate on the rooms and are relying on the guests to keep cupboards and contents clean. Didn't appreciate the 'threat' of a fine in the cottage file if we didn't empty the bins before departure - a simple polite request or reminder would have been sufficient. Disappointing that the boxes of tissues provided in various rooms had not been replenished and ran out during our stay. There was very little handwash in the bottles in the bathrooms. These are small things but, considering the cost of this cottage and as they are being provided I'd expect this to be done well. We were bothered by the bright fluorescent light spilling out of the Air Manage Suffolk office next door throughout the night. It was difficult to stop it filtering in through the bedrooms curtains. We stayed in October and did have some overcast days but the ground floor was quite dark during the day without lights on - darker than the photos suggest.

Very comfortable, stylish but cosy. Very well equipped with everything you need.
