"Dokonalá lokalita"

9.0

10.0

This is the place to be! I saw a lot of camps in the internet and I think the most of them are 'plastic'. I found this at Google maps and I spent two nights there. I think if you go in the desert you have to stay there 2 nights as well. I've been there at january, so it is cold in the night. But I could sleep very well. So no problem. Mohammed is a nice guy and very helpful. The breakfast is included. You have to pay for the Transport and the Diner. But I think it's fair and the food was enough.

"I would not recommend this place."

3.0

The camp is in the middle of the sand dunes, not at the edge. The operators made a fire at night and improvised some music. It was nice, but you could also hear the music from two more camps right next to this one.

It started with communication issues. There was no response on bookong.com, so I had to write on WhatsApp (which is problematic if you don't have a Moroccan SIM card). There, I only received voice messages that were difficult to understand. We had to be at the car park at 1 p.m. to be picked up, changing this time was impossible, that was very inflexible. Although I wrote several times that we wanted to travel to the camp by 4x4 (price: €50 per person return for a 15-minute journey, extortionate), we were asked several times if we wanted to travel by camel, which was twice as expensive. The camel ride takes an hour and you are led along the car tracks, while constantly being overtaken by quad bikes and other vehicles. We didn't want that. Shortly before our arrival, the operator stressed me out again because he suddenly wanted us to be there earlier because another couple was already waiting there. They were told that they had to arrive at 10:30 for the camel ride, and then they had to wait until 1:00 p.m. when we arrived. Based on the reviews, I had hoped for an authentic and beautiful desert experience, but the camp was full of large groups of party tourists who were drunk and playing loud music. That's not why I came to the desert! Our reception at the camp was the unfriendliest we had in the whole of Morocco. We were shown our tent, and that was it. No tea, no welcome, we didn't even know where the toilet was. If the party guests hadn't told us that they were only staying here during the day and then leaving again, I would have left immediately. We then tried to escape the crowds and climbed a dune on foot. At the top, apart from the constant loud roar of the quad bikes and motorbikes, it was a little more pleasant and quiet. The sandy desert is easy to survey, measuring only about 5 * 10 km, and that was it. Car tracks stretch across every single dune.

"Lovely stay in the desert"

10.0

What a special stay. We were welcomed to the property by the host, he gave us tea upon arrival. We got dinner twice and the breakfasts that are included, he is a great chef which is a nice plus. The accommodation is simple but it works. We were given tons of blankets to make sure we stay warm. A highlight was at night watching the stars. If you have a car you can drive around the dune to the back part and walk there which takes about 15-20 minutes rather than taking a camel or 4x4.

There’s no shower (I mean you’re in the sand dunes so it’s expected, so bring wet wipes or something to clean yourself. There’s a well but I was there in October which was just a bit too cold to clean myself with the water from the well) we stayed two nights so just consider that you won’t be showering if you stay more.

"Bello, peccato per il pagamento"

7.0

"Great value, authentic location, no people around, highly recommended."

7.0

If you want to experience "typical desert feeleng", go to Obira. It looks great, simple, comfy enough, detached from all other camps. There are way too many luxury, over-rated, over-crowded camps couple of kilometers away. The desert edge is flooded with these camps. Go to Obira, if you want to be alone-ish, quiet, dislocated, have time and comfort for the sunset and stars (walking distance, 200m from your tent).

Obira camp is located nearby a first huge dune in the desert. That attracts motorbike riders, 4x4 riders, an they simply go up to the dune all the afternoon. That is annoying. However, comes sunset, they disappear and the evening, night and morning were quiet, peaceful and really nice. We don't blame the Obira camp owner, he was super nice and helpful, this is just some little price we paid for a otherwise amazing stay in the desert, in oasis, detached from crowds.

The camp is really beautiful, located right in the middle of the desert next to a huge dune. It has a very real and natural feeling, and the atmosphere is super calm. Mohamed very friendly and also cooks very good! You can also walk to the camp if you prefer; just ask beforehand and you can save a bit of money. Overall, a very nice experience :)
