Balnea Villa Sixty-Nine

Clean, modern villa on the outskirts of Trou D’Eau Douce, in an area which includes sidewalks (such a rare thing in Mauritius). The open plan kitchen and living room, continued with the outdoor terrace, is perfect for parties and barbecues. The roof top has some amazing views to the mountains.

Close to the beach and restaurants. Had all the amenities of home-which I appreciated! I think this was the best equipped home I've stayed in and I've been traveling for a year nonstop.

The workers worked overnight-they are building a house next door. I know that has nothing to do with the host...at least it was just the last 2 nights.

Being a busy lady/working mom in the UK, I needed a relaxing holiday while being able to take care of the family. This villa is a home in paradise. It is beautiful, cosy and we felt in love at first sight. Every detail has been considered carefully , the colours, the patterns, the decor, the plants and flowers. If you are after peace of mind, calm and tranquility, this home is what you need. I wanted to be able to switch off from my busy life to finally be able to breathe and have clarity of mind. The mattresses were comfortable, which allow us to have great nights. The kitchen was fully equipped and we managed to have some home made meals when the weather was not too great to go out or when we wanted to chill out at home over a glass of wine. Mornings will be waking up with the birds and some warm sunlight rays. The terrace was great for meditation due to its space and mountain views. Close to the beach, shops when you go to the village . We rented a car and having hot baguettes from the village, for the evening was a delight. People around the area was friendly and happy to help us when we ask for directions. Lovely location away from the main road, secure community and we were blessed to have 4 boys (dogs) who befriended us. Just call 'Hello boys' and you would see their love. P.S don't forget to leave them some food and water outside , on the corner of the street, if you can/wish as they are adorable. Thierry, the owner has been very helpful and prompt in responding to our emails and issues as we need an early check in and late check out. Thank you so much for everything. Your love and passion for your paradise home can be felt in the way you designed it. We did not miss home to be honest as we felt so comfortable. We cooked, cleaned and enjoyed our holidays. It is like being at home but this time, we had a home in paradise. Sheila , the cleaning lady is so lovely and was helpful. She is very polite and professional.

We love everything with this villa. It was our home sweet home for 3 weeks.

This is a lovely house! Very spacious and modern and has everything you will need. We really enjoyed our stay. It is centrally located near nice restaurants (Green Island Beach Restaurant's shrimp pesto pasta is a must :) and close to the jetty for a trip to Ile Aux Cerfs.
