Boutique Heritage- Pool, Breakfast & Workspace

Die Besitzerin Margarita war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, sodass wir uns von Anfang an wie zu Hause gefühlt haben. Die Villa ist außergewöhnlich schön eingerichtet und besticht durch ihre stilvollen antiken Möbel. Besonders der Garten mit dem Swimmingpool war ein kleines Paradies und perfekt zum Entspannen. Die Lage ist angenehm ruhig und dennoch nur unweit vom Zentrum Montevideos entfernt.

The accommodation was very cozy. The (relatively large) bathroom is outside the room, but that wasn't a problem since we had the upper floor to ourselves. Margarita offered us a second room for our luggage. We were also able to use the living room on the ground floor, where Margarita lit the fireplace. She is an extremely friendly and welcoming hostess.

I had a lovely time at Casona de Estilo Inglés. Margarita is a very kind host and her house is beautifully decorated. I liked sitting in the garden, which is very tranquil. There were lots of nice places to eat nearby and the town centre is a short bus ride away. Montevideo is now one of my favourite cities in the whole world. The next time I visit, I will take a proper Mate (Ma-Tay!) kit everywhere, so I can blend in with the cool locals! :-)

The property is in a perfect location, close to bars, restaurants, and the beach. If you don’t feel like going out into the city, you can relax in the beautiful private garden and enjoy a swim in the pool - a pure delight! The host is lovely and took care of my needs in a warm, elegant manner.

Margarita’s home reminds one being in a villa filled with antique furniture and historical objects. She keeps everything clean and beautifully presented. I was impressed by her attention to details, thoughtfulness, going the extra mile to make me feel taken care of. I will never forget her hospitality and warm-hearted personality. Staying at her home gives me a one of its kind traveling experience. Muchas gracias.

I loved my stay at Casona de Estilo Inglés. Margarita is a great host. She's quick to respond to messages and she's willing to help with planning your activities in Montevideo. Her house is a beautiful old home and she puts a lot of care into it. The breakfasts are delicious and the outdoor space is beautiful. The location is convenient to downtown, by bus or taxi. And if you feel like staying in the local neighbourhood, there's a nice convenience store, coffee shops, restaurants, and grand parks nearby.
