"Pleasant, brilliant location"

7.0

The breakfast was sufficient, the keys were very easy to collect, and the location was perfect

A fan in the room, it was stifling hot, also the property could have done with a clean, and there was a bad smell of damp

"Fantastic. You must stay here!"

10.0

Location was perfect View from the cosy bay perfect Mum loved sitting by the window in the comfy chair watching the sea. Beautifully decorated. Only £2.50 to park for 2 days. So close to the cafe to watch the sunset. Close to the shops. Great value for money Easy to park!

Satnav had difficulty finding the address. Lift not working, took our time with the stairs. Needed a bigger table to play games, very small fact.

"Great for a family"

Great location, breakfast nice touch.

This is not two bedrooms, it's an en-suite family room. Not suitable for our party. Foyer smells fusty.

"Great stay in a lovely room, communication could have been better."

8.0

The property was easy to find and a great location to access all that Whitby has to offer. Lovely sea view. Especially sitting in the bay window area. The room was comfy, clean and cosy and the bed was comfy too. Totally peaceful as it appeared we were the only guests for the weekend. Great complimentary cereals, fresh milk, yoghurts, biscuits, tea and coffee just outside the door so easy to access. Check in was really easy with clear explanation for parking permits although we could not park nearby for the first day due to day trippers parking in the disc zones. We slept well and really loved the room. Visited the harbour and town and had an excellent Sunday roast across the street at the Fat Badger which is a pub and dining rooms inside the Royal Hotel. The Badger ale is a great ale. Used the hop on/hop off tour bus which was only £9.00 for adults all day, makes it easy to get to the Abbey if you have mobility issues and stops outside the Royal.

We found it disappointing that when booking we weren’t informed that builders were coming in on our last morning. They arrived at 7 am, set off an alarm at 7:20 which woke my partner who wasn’t feeling well and then started hammering before 7:45 am. I wouldn’t have put this negative in my review as we had such a great, much needed weekend but we weren’t advised to expect them and had to leave before check out time of 10 am due to the noise. No communication received whatsoever from the hosts apologising about this or enquiring if everything was ok over the weekend. We felt that checkout time could have been more flexible due to the lack of any other guests but we felt forced to leave anyway due to the noise.
