The Clifton Guest House

the location was somewhat convenient

the passcode for the keybox that was given in the initial confirmation email didn't work. It was nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone. We almost thought it was a scam until I called booking.com. It was dirty, no pillow covers, uncomfortable bed. The place smelled like burnt hair. There's a shared bathroom with other guests. Carpet was nasty with hair all over the place.

Windows and surrounding area was bit moldy

The room is very cosy and clean and the beds are super soft. The room matches the pictures and seems very newly made. The host was responsive and nice altough we didnt receive the check in information in advance so we had to wait and ask people to help us in front of the house. I didnt care much but my friends actually didnt feel save around the area at night. Like mentioned in the comments the guesthouse is above a pub but the pub closed at 11pm that day so the area was not noisy at all.

The building is quite old i think so they renovated the parts needed for the guest house (which are nice and clean) but other parts like the entrance and hallway were a bit dingy. It was a nice stay over for one night though.
