Lyme Tree Farm Cottages - Hotching Barn and Knockstone Cottage

Location, the independence from others, the helpful tips to get local amenities such as takeaways, the warm and helpful suggestions of where to walk and not get lost! Loved the eggs and the kind breakfast options with a good amount of milk provided. We’d like to stay again should we be able to afford it in the future. Bedroom area was lovely too- comfy bed. Good lighting in the property to tailor make need and mood options. It was so warm (!) we didn’t need to use the wood burner (although we would have loved to have seen it in action)

So many rules re the kitchen surfaces that it made it difficult to relax for fear of getting water marks. As a result of the strict rules we felt that we were actively discouraged to wash up and use the dishwasher instead as there is no risk of splashing of water on surfaces- there was a fear of accidentally marking surfaces. The kitchen is beautiful but maybe not very user friendly. It is very well appointed with crockery and for one’s cooking needs. I hope prices don’t go up as it would be untenable for us to visit again.

We stayed in Hotching Barn and it is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect from location(just outside Tideswell), facilities, cleanliness, bed comfort, shower, outside terrace and Jules the owner was a wonderful host. Highly recommended for anyone visiting this part of the Peak District.

Beautiful decor, plenty of space for two people, felt like a home away from home. Thoughtful touches of local eggs, bread and jam to welcome us.

The most gorgeous cottage in a great location with an exceptional host, i would recommend this stay to anyone!

Lovely stay at hotching barn! Gorgeous cottage throughout & a stunning location. We had a lovely relaxing stay for my partners birthday celebrations. Jules is lovely & the welcome hamper was a nice touch.

There was only one toilet roll in the property so we did need to pop out & buy some but that’s the only thing I could mention!
