Appartamento NA ME CASA

I have been using Booking for more than 15 years but this would easily be the kindest, most welcoming and helpful host ever. The house location is dream like. It captures everything Palermo is. Light, rooftop terrace, the neighbourhood… I was simply in love and will come back again. If you want to live Palermo in the right way, stay here. The owners stocked the place not for a stay but for life. Ragazzi, grazie con tutto il mio cuore!!!

Beautiful apartment with everything you could ever need -- it truly felt like a home. The bed was extremely comfortable. The apartment was very clean. The kitchen comes with all cooking supplies you need, and the fridge and pantries were fully stocked with milk, bread, jam, etc., to enjoy your breakfast in the morning. Bathroom also had all the toiletries and the washing machine was great. I loved using the outdoor patio upstairs. Overall, it was a beautiful stay and I enjoyed my time at this apartment. Great location, it's in walking proximity to a lot of great restaurants, cafes, etc etc, as well as public transportation. The apartment is on the top floor so be prepared to climb many stairs every day -- I planned my day around this so I did not have to up and down the stairs so many times. I felt very safe here as a solo female traveller.

Unfortunately, the hosts have not set up a self entry system for getting the keys to the apartment, and I found myself in a situation where I missed my flight and arrived extremely late at night to the apartment. I messaged the host as information was becoming known about my next available flight and when I would be arriving, to which he showed minimal consideration of my stressful situation. I was EXTREMELY apologetic in my communication with him. I almost thought he was not going to give me the keys to the apartment anymore because he was clearly frustrated with the late arrival. He requested I pay the fee of 40 euros for arriving late, and though initially I asked him to reconsider, I did pay this fee out of consideration for the inconvenience, even though it was not my fault and I had no intention of arriving late. However, 40 euros is an extremely high fee to pay for a late arrival and it would be better for them to consider a self entry system to avoid inconveniencing everyone. In addition, a few days after staying at this apartment, I received a very odd message from one of the owners who accused me of sneaking in an additional person into the apartment. I let her know I did have a friend who came to the apartment for a few hours before she went back to her hostel that night. The owner told me she would be checking the cameras and if I did sneak someone in I would have to pay an additional fee for an extra person. Of course, she didn't follow up with me, because she didn't have the proof. It's a bit odd to accuse someone and demand more money without having any evidence to prove your claim. If it's a problem to invite guests over for a few hours to the apartment, perhaps make that clear in the listing so that it's known information.

We spent a week in Palermo and we enjoyed every minute of it. The apartment has perfect location, close to everything, very clean, well equipped and super charming. After a long day the roof terrace is the best place to relax with nice and interesting view to the city. Elena and Giuseppe are the kindest and most attentive hosts in our experience on Booking.com. Wonderful stay at Appartamento NA ME CASA in Palermo's old town! The location was perfect - just a short walk from the old town center and the vibrant Vucciria market. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, modern, and beautifully designed with charming wooden beamed ceilings. The host and lovely family were exceptionally welcoming and thoughtful on arrival. They stocked the kitchen with breakfast essentials and snacks which was a nice touch. A fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bedroom await. The rooftop terrace was a highlight, offering beautiful views over Palermo's historic center - ideal for evening drinks after exploring the city. Air conditioning, WiFi, and all modern amenities made the stay comfortable and convenient. If you're looking for an authentic, central place to experience the true essence of Palermo, this apartment is perfect!
