White House Hostels - Arusha

Breakfast and mosquito net.

The front desk service hours are limited. Due to evening service absence(I've taken picture as a proof), my african partner, whom we have been travelling to different countries, was denied entry at the gate and branded as prostitute (which is absurd and irrelevant) just because she arrived the next day evening at 21:00 from different location. Which on my booking clearly shows it was booked for 2, which we have paid for in advance(with partially refunded later). I was told that unless we booked(pay) another room, she'd could not enter. It was an unpleasant experience, and I hope book.com reviews the property policies.

The room was fine. And there was a nice outdoor area to socialise. The hostel is located outside the center of Arusha. Around 45min walking / 10 - 15 min by car depending on traffic. Walking during the day time felt safe.

Communication wasn’t easy. We were meant to be picked up at the airport but that never happened (arrange with the hostel). We also had arranged a Safari through the hostel (paid in advanced) which was cancelled on the same day that was meant to start witch disrupted our plans completely as the only reason to be in Arusha was to do the Safari.

the place is a bit difficult to find and we called for thousands time in 2 hours but no one answered. breakfast was bad. anyway. very bad impression.

Fantastic accomodation! We really weren't sure what to expect with such a low price, we are regular visitors to Arusha and have stayed in great places, we'd definitely come back here when taking Safari. It had everything we needed, super comfortable bed, warm shower, wifi, clean, great breakfast and friendly atmosphere.

very nice hostel. laundry services are pretty expansive. aside from that everything was good.
