Gorgeous Gateway To Gorge Near Washougal River

Super comfortable and welcoming place! We stayed a week and got plenty of amenities for that duration, there's a large selection of boardgames and movies, the kitchen is well stocked, there are towels and blankets galore and overall it just felt like home. The beds were comfy, the layout is quite convenient and the location great for us - only a short hop to the highway and a straight half-hour drive to the airport. The hosts were very communicative and always quick to respond, we always felt very well taken care of. Shame we couldn't use the outdoor area because the weather was just too mucky - if we're ever back in summer, that'll be a great plus as well.

As someone else already pointed out, it really would've been nice to be able to adjust our own temperature. But that's a very small nitpick.

Having three bedrooms was really nice. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space.

The property was great, but we could have used a few more amenities. There was only enough coffee, shower supplies, and dish soap for one day. The hand cleaner containers were empty and the oven racks were missing. The host was super great and responsive and brought dish soap and hand soap. The oven racks apparently got damaged with melted plastic by the prior guests and the host tried to replace them with his own, but they were not the right size. He was very kind and brought us two bottles of wine as compensation. Personally, I’m not a big fan of plastic plants and flowers. It would be cuter with less.

Property was comfortable and tastefully decorated. Very roomy. Beds were comfortable. Host was very responsive. Appeared clean.

There was a smell of fried fish upon arrival which lingered for a couple days and was very unpleasant. Upon closer inspection I found grease splatter on the stove and all surrounding surfaces. I cleaned it more thoroughly several times to get rid of the smell. Host said they would bring matches for the candles but did not. It finally dissipated on day 3 of a four day stay.

We felt safe, and the evenings were quiet. Able to feel rested with a good night’s sleep. Great to have a washer and dryer on site.

We sent a few recommended suggestions already, but they don’t reflect a dislike of the property. We did like the property very much.

2 Things 1. The person who rents your location should be able to control the temperature. 2. PLEASE GET CABLE TV! Roku just does not cut it.
