The West Highland Way Hotel and Retreat Accommodation

I hadn’t packed for the turn in weather. The staff brought me an extra sleeping bag to borrow for the night. I never expected to be taken care of like that. I stayed warm all night! Thank you.

The faint sound of sheep coming up from the valley was very pleasant. The birds singing and the sheep reminded me of home when I was a child.

The situation was quite lovely, if you are looking to camp. Very hard to locate though. The staff was very apologetic for the misinterpretation, apparently it has happened before.

We arrived at the property expecting 2 ROOMS in an old HOTEL as this is what it was listed on the booking form. Very ambiguous. It is called The Pitches which is a common name for campsites but I have never heard these called ROOMS. We discovered that it was in fact 2 sites for motor homes .If the accommodation is for camping it should be listed as such, NOT ROOMS. We did not stay, we had to find other accommodation.

El entorno, el dueño esta un poco pirado de la cabeza, pero muy simpaticón y sobre todo muy amable esta con sus historias y la verdad que esta siempre liado, pero ha sido muy amable la zona es estupenda viendo corzos por el entorno y la zona de acampada genial el césped lo tenia muy cuidado aunque había alguna zona que no

More showers of time limit so other guests don’t wait for this who take way too long

Staff and place were fantastic. Despite a mess-up from booking.com which said they were a hostel, staff dealt with the situation with a balance of professionalism and humour, despite the stress. I had a brilliant comfortable stay as a women travelling alone. Great views Food looked great Great atmosphere with beautiful lights Friendly Has all amenities needed. Slept really well!
